Modi also gifted Maheshwari Silk fabric from Madhya Pradesh, a centuries-old handloom tradition linked to Queen Ahilyabai Holkar. Known for its elegant silk-cotton blend and reversible border designs, the fabric reflects India’s textile legacy.

Another cultural highlight was the Karimnagar Filigree silver chest from Telangana. Crafted using the intricate repousse technique, the artwork depicted a ceremonial elephant procession, symbolizing dignity and prestige.

Gifts Presented to UAE Crown Prince

To the UAE Crown Prince, Modi presented Mithila Makhana from Bihar, a GI-tagged delicacy cultivated in freshwater wetlands. The product is widely appreciated for its purity, nutritional value, and traditional farming methods.

The Prime Minister also gifted a ceremonial dagger featuring Koftgari artwork from Rajasthan. Koftgari is a traditional metal inlay art involving gold and silver wire work on steel surfaces. The dagger symbolized courage and shared cultural traditions between India and the UAE.

Meghalaya Pineapples and Kesar Mangoes Gain Global Spotlight

The UAE President received Meghalaya’s famous pineapples, known for their sweetness, aroma, and nutritional quality. The inclusion of the fruit brought international attention to the agricultural products of Northeast India.

Additionally, Modi gifted Gujarat’s renowned Kesar Mangoes, often referred to as the “Queen of Mangoes” due to their saffron-colored pulp and rich fragrance.

A Rogan painting from Kutch in Gujarat was also presented. Featuring the “Tree of Life” motif, the artwork highlighted India’s sustainable and traditional craft heritage.

India-UAE Relations Strengthened

Apart from the cultural exchange, Prime Minister Modi and UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan signed important agreements aimed at strengthening cooperation in energy, trade, and regional security.
