Nagaland’s Paralympian Hokato Hotozhe Sema has achieved a major milestone by securing the World No. 1 ranking in the men’s Shot Put F57 category. According to the latest World Para Athletics Rankings, the 9 Assam Rifles Subedar now leads the global standings. Sema, who won a bronze medal at the Paris Paralympics 2024, recently became the first Paralympian to receive the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal. Meanwhile, fellow Indian athletes Rana Soman and Juyal Shubham secured the second and third positions, highlighting India’s dominance in the event.
