Protest Continues Despite Rain and Heavy Security

According to him, CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka and party member Saurav Das had travelled to meet Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda in an effort to seek a peaceful resolution to the ongoing standoff.
The party maintained that discussions with government representatives were part of its strategy while the protest continued at Jantar Mantar.
Sonam Wangchuk’s Hunger Strike Reaches 24 Days
CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka announced that activist Sonam Wangchuk’s indefinite hunger strike had entered its 24th day.
Ranka said Wangchuk remained committed to the movement despite being admitted to Safdarjung Hospital after his health deteriorated on July 18.
According to the CJP, Wangchuk continues his fast from the hospital while supporting the movement’s demands for education reforms and greater accountability.
