Itanagar, August 29: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Saturday unveiled the Arunachal Human Capital & Economic Transformation Vision 2036 and the Arun MSME Mission. The initiatives aim to expand employment, entrepreneurship and global opportunities for the state’s youth. Under Vision 2036, the government plans to train 1 lakh youths, support 10,000 entrepreneurs and create 10,000 apprenticeship opportunities. The roadmap also targets 10,000 overseas placements and 100 industry partnerships. At the same time, the Arun MSME Mission will support 500 micro, small and medium enterprises every year.

Vision 2036 Focuses on Youth and Skills
Chief Minister Pema Khandu said the new Vision 2036 will create more opportunities for employment and enterprise. The government also wants to develop a workforce that can compete in national and international markets.

Arun MSME Mission to Support 500 Businesses Every Year
Alongside Vision 2036, the government launched the Arun MSME Mission to strengthen local businesses.
Under the mission, the state plans to support 500 MSMEs every year. The programme will focus on reviving existing enterprises, upgrading their capacity and improving market access.
The mission will also assist businesses with export opportunities. As a result, the government expects stronger local enterprises to create more jobs and contribute to youth-led economic growth.
Focus on Entrepreneurship and Self-Employment
Khandu highlighted the changing aspirations of young people. He said today’s youth are not only seeking jobs but are also interested in creating employment opportunities.
Therefore, the government’s roadmap places entrepreneurship alongside conventional employment. The administration aims to help young people develop businesses, gain industry experience and explore opportunities beyond Arunachal Pradesh.
The chief minister described the long-term goal as building a future-ready workforce, globally competitive entrepreneurs and an innovation-driven economy.
Arunachal Targets Greater Global Opportunities
The overseas placement target is another major part of Vision 2036. The government wants to help 10,000 youths access employment opportunities outside India.
Meanwhile, domestic industry partnerships and upgraded ITIs could create stronger links between education, vocational training and employment.
Khandu said skilled young people will play a central role in Arunachal Pradesh’s future economic growth. The government therefore plans to combine skill development, entrepreneurship, innovation and market access under the Vision 2036 framework.
