Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, has blamed Army Chief General Asim Munir for his alleged abduction on May 9th. Khan distanced himself from the violence across the country after his dramatic arrest from a court in Islamabad. During an informal chat with media persons on the premises of the Islamabad High Court (IHC), Khan expressed his views on the incident.

In a corruption case, the IHC granted Khan protective bail for two weeks, providing a major relief to the former Prime Minister. The court also barred authorities from arresting Khan in any case registered anywhere in the country until Monday.

Khan has accused the army chief of orchestrating his alleged abduction, which occurred while he was en route to the courthouse. The incident sparked widespread protests across the country and calls for Khan’s immediate release.

The former Prime Minister has denied any involvement in the violence that erupted after his arrest and has called for an investigation into the matter. Khan has also stated that he has no intention of returning to politics, claiming that his kidnapping was politically motivated.

The IHC’s decision to grant Khan protective bail has been met with mixed reactions. Some have hailed the decision as a victory for democracy and the rule of law, while others have criticized it as a violation of Pakistan’s judicial system.

Khan’s case is just one of many corruption cases currently being investigated in Pakistan. The country’s political climate has been tense in recent years, with allegations of corruption and political unrest plaguing the government. The case against Khan is seen as a key test of the country’s commitment to fighting corruption and upholding the rule of law.
