Officials Brief Governor on Census Plan

Earlier, a team from the Directorate of Census Operations, Shillong, briefed the governor on the process. Biswajit Pegu led the team, while Anu Singh joined the discussion.

They explained that the self-enumeration phase began on April 16 and will continue until April 30. During this period, citizens can complete the process online.


Field Survey to Begin in May

After the online phase, enumerators will conduct house listing from May 1 to May 30. They will visit households to collect detailed data and verify information.

Meanwhile, officials such as Sonal Swaroop and Toko Babu attended the event. Their presence highlighted the coordinated effort behind the census operation.
