The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the extension of the CUET-UG examination days by at least four days to accommodate the significantly higher number of candidates in certain cities. The second edition of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG is scheduled to take place from May 21 to May 31.

Sadhana Parashar, the Senior Director (Exams) at NTA, stated that in some cities, the count of registered candidates is exceptionally large. To ensure that all candidates are accommodated, the CUET examination days will be extended to include June 1-2 as well as June 5-6. Additionally, buffer days of June 7 and 8 will be reserved as contingency days. The NTA will soon issue City Intimation Slips for these additional examination days.

The decision to extend the examination period was made due to the overwhelming response and the increased number of applicants in certain cities. This step aims to provide a fair and conducive environment for all candidates to appear for the CUET-UG examination. By extending the exam days, the NTA is taking proactive measures to prevent any overcrowding or logistical challenges that could arise from a large number of test-takers.

The CUET-UG is an important examination for students aspiring to pursue undergraduate programs in various universities across the country. By conducting a standardized entrance test, the NTA ensures a fair and transparent selection process for admission to undergraduate courses. The extension of the examination days demonstrates the NTA’s commitment to facilitating a smooth and efficient testing experience for all candidates.

The NTA has been actively monitoring the registration process and analyzing the data to identify cities with a high concentration of candidates. By recognizing the need for additional examination days in these cities, the NTA is able to make necessary arrangements well in advance. This proactive approach will help prevent any last-minute inconvenience for the candidates and ensure that the examination process proceeds seamlessly.

It is important for candidates to stay updated with the official announcements from the NTA regarding the CUET-UG examination. The issuance of City Intimation Slips for the extended examination days will provide candidates with the necessary information about the revised schedule and venue details. Candidates are advised to regularly check the NTA’s official website and other communication channels to stay informed about any further updates.

The NTA’s decision to extend the CUET-UG examination days reflects their commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process and providing equal opportunities for all candidates. By accommodating the higher number of candidates in certain cities, the NTA ensures that every aspiring student has a fair chance to showcase their abilities and secure admission to their desired undergraduate programs.
