Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh chaired a Cabinet meeting on Friday at the State Secretariat in Imphal, where ministers discussed key administrative matters aimed at strengthening governance and improving public service delivery across Manipur.

The meeting focused on building a citizen-centric administrative system grounded in transparency, accountability, and effective policy implementation. Senior officials and Cabinet ministers reviewed several governance issues and adopted decisions to improve administrative efficiency and public welfare initiatives in the state.

Focus on Transparent and Accountable Governance

During the meeting, the Cabinet held detailed discussions on multiple administrative matters related to governance and policy execution. The government approved several measures intended to enhance coordination among departments and improve service delivery to citizens.

Chief Minister Khemchand Singh said the decisions taken during the meeting reflect the government’s continued commitment to strengthening governance structures. He emphasized that the administration remains focused on implementing policies that promote transparency, accountability, and efficiency.

The Chief Minister also highlighted that a responsive and people-oriented governance system is essential for maintaining public trust and ensuring effective administration.

Commitment to Peace and Inclusive Development

Khemchand Singh stated that the government continues to prioritise peace, security, and inclusive development across Manipur. According to him, sustained efforts in these areas are crucial for ensuring long-term stability and economic progress in the state.

He stressed that development initiatives must reach every section of society and contribute to balanced growth. The government, he said, aims to implement policies that support social harmony while also encouraging economic opportunities for communities throughout the state.

The Chief Minister further noted that strengthening governance institutions and promoting inclusive growth remain central to the government’s development agenda.

Government Aims for Sustainable Growth

The Cabinet meeting also reflected the administration’s broader focus on sustainable development and improved governance practices. Officials discussed ways to strengthen existing programs and ensure better implementation of government policies.

Khemchand Singh said the government will continue working towards building a stronger and more progressive Manipur. He added that the administration remains committed to improving the quality of life for citizens while maintaining peace and stability.

According to the Chief Minister, effective governance combined with inclusive development will help ensure long-term prosperity for the state.

Khoibu Tribe Union Delegation Meets Chief Minister

Earlier in the day, a delegation from the Khoibu Tribe Union met the Chief Minister at the State Secretariat in Imphal.

The delegation extended greetings and warm courtesies to the Chief Minister. As a mark of respect, the representatives felicitated him with the presentation of a traditional crown.

The meeting provided an opportunity for interaction between the community leaders and the state government.

CM Assures Attention to Community Concerns

Expressing his gratitude for the gesture, Chief Minister Khemchand Singh thanked the delegation for their visit and appreciated the cultural significance of the traditional honour.

He reiterated that the state government gives high priority to inclusive development and the welfare of all communities in Manipur.

The Chief Minister assured the delegation that the government remains committed to addressing the concerns and aspirations of the Khoibu Tribe. He added that the administration will continue to engage constructively with communities to ensure that development reaches every section of society.

Khemchand Singh also emphasized the importance of maintaining peace, dignity, and harmony among communities while pursuing development initiatives.

The interaction concluded with mutual assurances of cooperation between the community representatives and the state government in promoting social harmony and inclusive growth in the state.
