The extension is expected to benefit passengers traveling within Bihar and nearby regions during the busy summer period.

Additional One-Way Special Trains Announced

To further ease travel congestion, NFR has announced two one-way special trains scheduled to run on June 4, 2026.

Train No. 05630 will operate between Guwahati and Tirupati, providing a direct travel option for passengers heading to southern India.

Another special service, Train No. 05862, will run from Rangapara North to Vijayawada, enhancing connectivity between the Northeast and the southern states.

These services are expected to help manage the seasonal rush and provide more travel choices to passengers.

Railway Officials Highlight Passenger Convenience

According to NFR Chief Public Relations Officer Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, the railway administration has taken these steps to ensure smoother passenger movement during the summer travel season.

The extended and additional services are aimed at improving regional connectivity, reducing overcrowding on regular trains, and ensuring a more comfortable journey for travelers.

Passengers have been advised to verify train timings, stoppages, and operational details through the IRCTC portal and NFR’s official communication channels before traveling.

Why This Matters for Northeast India

Northeast India depends heavily on railway connectivity for long-distance travel and transportation. Special train services during peak seasons help connect the region with major cities such as Kolkata, Tirupati, and Vijayawada while reducing pressure on regular train operations.
