Courtney Hodder and Caitlin Greiser have been crowned the 2023 Mark of the Year (MOTY) and Goal of the Year (GOTY) respectively. Hodder’s gravity-defying mark in round seven of the AFLW season has been widely hailed as one of the best marks ever taken, while Greiser’s long-range goal in round 10 was a stunning display of skill.

Hodder’s Hangover Mark

Hodder’s mark was taken against the Geelong Cats in round seven. She flew high above the pack to take a mark over the head of Geelong’s Georgie Prespakis. The mark was so impressive that it was named Mark of the Year by the AFL Women’s.

Greiser’s Long-Range Goal

Greiser’s goal was taken against the North Melbourne Kangaroos in round 10. She received the ball from a teammate and launched a long-range goal from outside the 50-meter arc. The goal was so spectacular that it was named Goal of the Year by the AFL Women’s.
