Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli scored a milestone fifty in his homecoming match against Delhi Capitals at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on May 6. The Delhi crowd showed their admiration for Kohli by wearing the RCB jersey and cheered him on as he played a crucial knock of 55 runs off 46 balls. It was Kohli’s sixth half-century of the season.

Kohli’s brilliant knock was followed by an explosive innings from Mahipal Lomror, who scored an unbeaten 54 runs off just 29 balls, helping RCB post a challenging total of 181 for 4. This was Lomror’s highest score in the IPL and he played some breathtaking shots during his innings.

The RCB team’s performance was cheered by their fans, who were delighted to see their captain and team perform well on the field. The match was a homecoming for Kohli, who is from Delhi and started his cricketing journey in the city. The fans were excited to see him play in front of his home crowd and he did not disappoint.

The Delhi Capitals team tried their best to restrict RCB’s total but Kohli and Lomror’s innings proved to be too much for them to handle. RCB’s strong batting performance will give them confidence going into the next few matches of the IPL. In the end, The Delhi Capitals team made comeback and they won.
