Landslide Strikes Construction Site

A landslide triggered by continuous rainfall struck a construction site in Lohitpur, Arunachal Pradesh’s Lohit district, on Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities identified the victims soon after the rescue operation. Meanwhile, officials informed their families about the tragic incident.

Rescue Teams Save Four Labourers

Immediately after the landslide, police officers and rescue personnel rushed to the construction site.

They successfully rescued four trapped labourers from beneath the debris. One worker suffered serious injuries and doctors admitted him to Lohit Zonal General Hospital for treatment. The remaining injured workers also received medical attention, although officials have not yet released detailed updates on their condition.

Police Launch Investigation

Following the incident, Tezu Police registered an unnatural death case.

Furthermore, investigators have begun examining the circumstances that led to the landslide. They will also review safety measures at the construction site.
