Salman Khan Said Censorship On OTT Platforms To Curb Vulgarity, Nudity, And Abuse In India

As the popularity of Over-The-Top (OTT) platforms has skyrocketed in recent years, so has the debate over the censorship of content on these platforms. Recently, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan expressed his opinion on the matter, stating that there should be censorship on OTT and that vulgarity, nudity, and abuse should be stopped. He also emphasized the importance of clean content and how it can lead to greater viewership.

Salman Khan is not alone in his views on the matter. Many people believe that censorship is necessary to protect young audiences from harmful content. Some have argued that the content on OTT platforms is more explicit than what is shown on traditional television or in cinemas, which can be accessed by anyone with an internet connection.

However, the reality is that censorship already exists in various forms in many countries. For example, in India, films are rated by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), and content that is deemed inappropriate is either removed or given an adult rating. Similarly, in the United States, the Motion Picture Association (MPAA) rates films based on their content and restricts access to certain age groups.

He also emphasized that clean content always works better and suggested that actors who refuse to do bold scenes should not be left behind. Salman Khan believes that there should be a check on the content available on OTT platforms to ensure that it is appropriate for all viewers.
