After 40 years of art being absent from the region, debutant filmmaker Tariq Bhat is hoping to showcase the beauty of Kashmir and its people through his film “Welcome to Kashmir.” The film, which is in the Kashmiri language and stars locals from the Valley, is Bhat’s long-cherished dream.

Bhat’s goal is to restore the art form in Kashmir, specifically for the youth. He believes that through his film, he can bring positivity to the region and highlight the many talented people that call it home.

Kashmir has been plagued by violence and conflict for decades, which has led to many talented artists leaving the area. As a result, the region has been devoid of artistic expression for a long time. Bhat wants to change that.

“The youth of Kashmir have been left with no outlet for their creative energies,” Bhat said. “We need to provide them with an opportunity to express themselves through art and filmmaking.”

Bhat’s film is a step in the right direction. It showcases the beauty of Kashmir through stunning visuals and a heartwarming story. The film follows the journey of a young man who returns to Kashmir after studying abroad. He discovers the beauty of his homeland and the people who call it home.

The film has been well-received by critics and audiences alike. It has won several awards at film festivals and has been praised for its positive portrayal of Kashmir and its people.

Bhat hopes that his film will inspire others to create art and tell stories about Kashmir. He believes that the region has a lot of untold stories that need to be shared with the world.

“I hope that my film will inspire others to tell their stories and showcase the beauty of Kashmir,” Bhat said. “We need more art and positivity in the region.”

Bhat’s film is a beacon of hope for the people of Kashmir. It shows that even in the midst of conflict and violence, there is beauty and hope. Through art and storytelling, Bhat is bringing a positive light to the region and inspiring others to do the same.
