As part of the long celebratory weekend in honor of the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife Akshata Murty will host a special event at Downing Street in London on Sunday. The Coronation Big Lunch will recognize community heroes from all walks of life.

One of the invitees is Navjot Singh Sawhney, a British Sikh entrepreneur who won the UK PM’s Points of Light Award earlier this year for his eco-friendly hand-cranked Washing Machine Project. The project is benefitting over 1,000 families in underdeveloped countries or refugee camps who lack access to an electric machine.

The event at Downing Street is just one of an estimated 50,000 Big Lunches or street parties being organized throughout the United Kingdom to celebrate the coronation at Westminster Abbey in London on Saturday. Ukrainians who were forced to flee the war-torn country amid its conflict with Russia will also join the Downing Street party.

The Big Lunches are an opportunity for communities to come together and celebrate the historic event, which marks the beginning of a new era for the United Kingdom. The government hopes that these events will help to strengthen community ties and bring people together in a spirit of unity and goodwill.

As part of the coronation celebrations, King Charles III and Queen Camilla will embark on a tour of the United Kingdom, visiting cities and towns across the country. The tour is expected to be a chance for the new monarchs to meet with ordinary people and hear their concerns.

The coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla is a historic event that marks the continuation of the British monarchy. The United Kingdom has a long and rich history, and the coronation is a chance for the country to come together and celebrate its heritage and traditions.

The government hopes that the coronation celebrations will be a time of unity and togetherness, bringing people from all backgrounds and communities together to celebrate this historic moment. The Coronation Big Lunch at Downing Street is just one example of how people across the country are coming together to celebrate this momentous occasion.
