The Assam Rifles attack in Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang district killed one jawan and injured four others on Tuesday morning. The patrol team came under suspected militant fire near the India-Myanmar border.
The incident took place around 6.30 am near Nampong Nallah under Nampong Circle. Personnel from the 21 Assam Rifles were patrolling an area where border-fencing work was underway when the attack occurred.

According to officials, the patrol team faced gunfire while operating close to the ongoing border fencing. The firing left Havildar Jankhokai Kuki, 42, dead. Four other personnel suffered injuries during the incident.
