Part of Wider Organisational Push
The formation of the Pradesh Election Committee is part of Congress’s broader organisational preparations ahead of the Assam Assembly elections. In recent weeks, the party has been focusing on internal restructuring and strengthening its state unit.
According to Congress leaders, the early constitution of the committee will allow adequate time for planning and consensus-building. As a result, the party hopes to present a united and focused front during the election campaign.
With Gaurav Gogoi at the helm, the Congress aims to energise its cadre and sharpen its electoral strategy. The coming months are expected to see increased political activity as the party gears up to take on its rivals in the Assam Assembly elections.
