JNC Pasighat Welcomes 1,674 New Students at Orientation Programme

Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh: Jawaharlal Nehru College (JNC), Pasighat, welcomed 1,674 newly admitted undergraduate and postgraduate students at its Orientation-cum-Induction Programme 2026. The programme was held under the theme “Learn · Connect · Grow · Belong” and marked the beginning of the new academic session. College authorities urged students to focus on discipline, academic excellence and skill development. Principal Urges Students to Stay Disciplined

Addressing the newly admitted students, JNC Principal Dr Gindu Borang advised them to maintain discipline, punctuality and sincerity throughout their academic journey.

Union Advisor Enuk Libang encouraged students to take part in co-curricular and enrichment activities.

He highlighted the importance of participating in activities beyond the classroom for the overall development of students.

JNC Highlights Facilities and NEP 2020 Programmes

IQAC Coordinator Dr D.P. Panda provided an overview of the college’s academic programmes under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

He also highlighted the college’s student-support facilities and infrastructure, including its automated library, which houses more than 45,000 books.

Panda also informed students about JNC’s NAAC Grade B accreditation, reflecting the institution’s focus on academic and institutional development.

Principal’s Academic Award Announced

A new Principal’s Academic Award was announced during the orientation programme.

The award aims to recognise meritorious students and encourage them to maintain strong academic performance throughout their studies.
