Kenba Kami Wanted Notice Issued by Arunachal Police

Arunachal Pradesh Police have issued a wanted notice for Kenba Kami, who remains untraceable following the alleged attack. The notice seeks public assistance in locating him, while police teams continue search and intelligence-gathering operations.

According to The Arunachal Times, Papum Pare district police began coordinated efforts with Assam Police after receiving a request for assistance. Officers have questioned people who may know the accused and checked locations linked to his possible movements.

Police have also shared the wanted notice with district police units and check gates. In addition, authorities are maintaining surveillance around his parental home and village to identify possible leads.

The case has been registered at Gohpur Police Station under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act. Investigators are examining the circumstances of the incident as the search continues.

Kenba Kami Case: What Happened in Gohpur?

Preliminary information indicates that the incident occurred at Rajgarh No. 2 in the Lakhipur area of Gohpur on October 26. Kami had reportedly travelled to his in-laws’ residence to take his wife back with him.

However, a confrontation allegedly broke out when he encountered his two brothers-in-law. The disagreement reportedly escalated into a violent attack.

Police said Kami allegedly opened fire with a country-made pistol, killing one brother-in-law at the scene. He also allegedly attacked the second man with a sharp weapon, leaving him seriously injured.

The injured victim was taken to Tezpur Medical College and Hospital for treatment. Reports described his condition as critical, while further details about his recovery were not immediately available.

Authorities have not publicly established every aspect of the dispute. Therefore, investigators must determine the sequence of events and gather evidence before drawing conclusions about the motive.

Kenba Kami Search Continues Across Districts

Papum Pare district police have launched a coordinated search with Assam Police to locate Kenba Kami. The operation includes field inquiries, intelligence gathering and checks at locations where he might be hiding.

Police teams have reportedly questioned relatives and acquaintances while verifying his residential premises. They have also searched suspected locations, including forested areas near Hollongi.

Meanwhile, investigators are using technical surveillance and other intelligence inputs to establish his possible movements. Police have also seized a scooter for verification as part of the investigation.

The wanted notice has been circulated to police units and check gates to improve coordination between agencies. Officers are urging anyone with credible information about the accused to contact the nearest police station.

Kenba Kami has not been reported arrested in the latest available updates. Police efforts remain focused on locating him and securing his apprehension.

Kenba Kami Case Triggers Protest Near Hollongi

The alleged killing prompted protests by members of the Gorkha community near Hollongi, close to the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border. Demonstrators demanded the immediate arrest of the accused following the fatal incident.

The protest disrupted road movement in the area as residents called for swift police action. The incident also drew attention to the impact of violent disputes on families and communities living along the interstate boundary.

Gohpur MLA Utpal Borah appealed to Arunachal Pradesh authorities to assist Assam Police in tracing the accused. He also urged residents to cooperate with investigators and called for the accused to face the legal process.

According to local reporting, the district administration appealed for calm, and protesters subsequently maintained peace. Authorities continued their efforts to prevent further tension while the investigation progressed.

The incident has placed renewed focus on cooperation between police forces in the two neighbouring states. Such coordination is important when suspects may move across district or state boundaries.

Kenba Kami Manhunt: Police Seek Public Assistance

The search for Kenba Kami remains a key priority for investigators following the fatal attack in Assam. Police are continuing to examine leads, verify information and coordinate efforts across the border region.

Officials have asked members of the public to share reliable information about his whereabouts with the nearest police station. Residents should avoid confronting or attempting to detain the suspect themselves.

The investigation will seek to establish the circumstances that led to the confrontation, the sequence of the alleged attacks and the evidence required for legal proceedings.

For now, the wanted notice marks a significant step in the effort to trace the accused. Further developments will depend on the outcome of the ongoing search and police investigation.
