The fourth suspect escaped from the area. Police searched the surrounding area but could not locate him.
Three Motorcycles Recovered
Police recovered three motorcycles during the operation.
The vehicles included a Yamaha R15 with registration number AS-01-FV-4193, a Royal Enfield Hunter 350 with registration number AS-25-Z-1346, and another Yamaha R15 with registration number AS-27-F-1263.
Police noticed that none of the motorcycles had ignition keys.
Officers also found that the wiring systems had direct connections. Police said these findings raised suspicion that the motorcycles could have been stolen.
Three Assam Residents Arrested
Police identified the arrested men as Nipu Das, 25, Karan Sundi, 22, and Babu Basumatary, 26.
All three suspects reportedly live in Tampur, Assam.
Police took the men and the recovered motorcycles to Mawsynram Police Station. Officers are carrying out further verification and legal procedures.
