In a recent turn of events, social media platforms were flooded with rumours of the demise of actress-turned-politician Divya Spandana, also known as Ramya. The news of Divya Spandana’s alleged death sent shockwaves through social media, leading her anxious supporters to seek confirmation of the grim news. Thiru. KT Lakshmi Kanthan, Chairman of Congress’ IT Cell, categorically dismissed the rumours, branding them as “100% wrong” and assuring the public that she is in good health.

Wrong Information Spread

Adding to the chorus of those denouncing the rumours, a journalist who personally contacted Divya Spandana verified that the news was false. Dhanya Rajendran took to social media to share her conversation with the actress-politician, stating that she was peacefully asleep in Geneva and completely unaware of the unfounded rumours.

According to Dhanya Rajendran, the conversation was surreal as she had to reassure Divya Spandana of her well-being, given the gravity of the situation. Spandana herself was baffled by the false reports and questioned, “Who the hell is saying I died!”

The origin of these death rumours remains unclear, though some supporters have speculated that they may have arisen due to confusion with another individual who shares a similar name, Spandana, and unfortunately passed away in Bangkok last month.

Prominent Political Personality

Divya Spandana has had a prominent political career. She joined the Youth Congress in 2012 and played a pivotal role as the social media head of the Congress party. She was widely credited with enhancing the social media presence of both the Congress Party and its leader, Rahul Gandhi. However, in 2018, she stepped down from her role, reportedly due to a downsizing of her responsibilities.

Furthermore, it is worth noting that Divya Spandana had recently opened up about her personal struggles with suicidal thoughts. During this challenging period, she acknowledged the significant emotional support she received from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, emphasizing his role as one of the most influential figures in her life, alongside her parents.

In conclusion,

The rumours surrounding the death of Divya Spandana have been debunked by reliable sources and confirmed as false. She continues to be an influential figure in Indian politics and a well-known advocate for mental health awareness, having shared her own experiences with the public.
