Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday announced that more than 19,262 individuals have been appointed to permanent government positions in the state since the formation of the BJP-led government in 2018. The appointments include die-in-harness cases, selected through a transparent and merit-based recruitment process.
Dr. Saha made the announcement during an appointment letter distribution ceremony held at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala, where 15 newly recruited Food Inspectors under the Food Department received their official appointment letters. The recruitment was carried out through the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC).
Commitment to Transparency and Merit
Addressing the newly appointed officials and the audience present, the Chief Minister emphasized that the current government is prioritizing both the filling of existing vacancies and the creation of new posts across various departments.
“We are committed to maintaining a transparent and fair recruitment system. All appointments are being made purely on the basis of merit, ensuring deserving candidates are selected,” said Dr. Saha.
He added that the state government continues to focus on improving administrative efficiency by strengthening manpower in key areas.
Support for Social Initiatives
The appointment event was also marked by a blood donation camp, where the Chief Minister extended his support and appreciation to voluntary donors.
“Blood donation is a noble act. I sincerely thank all those who came forward to contribute to this humanitarian cause,” he said, encouraging youth participation in such initiatives.
Strengthening the State Workforce
The state’s efforts in employment generation have been visible over the past six years, with over 19,000 job appointments boosting public service delivery and offering career stability to thousands of families.
Dr. Saha congratulated the new appointees and urged them to serve with integrity, dedication, and a people-first approach.
