In Tripura and Nagaland, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its alliances kept their positions of authority, whereas, in Meghalaya, the National People’s Party (NPP) became the only major party in the state.

Regardless of the rise by newcomer TIPRA Motha, the Saffron Party exceeds the majority level in Tripura and also it retains its lead in Nagaland and Meghalaya state.

In Nagaland and Meghalaya, the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) and the National People’s Party (NPP) respectively emerge as the only largest parties whereas the Left Front suffers a huge disappointment from the Tripura election.

The Left Front suffered a defeat as their seat count decreased to 11 seats only in Tripura, the Bharatiya Janata Party and its ally, the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura, got 33 seats, while the TIPRA Motha gained 13.
