According to police, the accused were extremely scared due to which they kept driving till the woman’s body fell off. Earlier, the accused had told the police that there was loud music inside the car, so they did not notice the body, and fled the spot when they realised what had happened. But now they have confessed that it was all false.

In the wee hours of January 1, a 20-year-old woman died after she was dragged by a car for about 12 km. During the investigation, it was revealed that Nidhi, Anjali’s friend, was seated on the two-wheeler that Anjali was driving. Their vehicle met with an accident with a car and Anjali, who got stuck under the car, was dragged from Delhi’s Sultanpuri to Kanjhawala. Nidhi fled from the site after sustaining minor injuries.

A 20-year-old woman died in the wee hours of Sunday after she was dragged for around 12 kilometres from Sultanpuri to Kanjhawala in Delhi after the scooter she was riding collided with a car. The incident has caused an uproar in the national capital and police have arrested seven accused in the case, charging them with culpable homicide.

Seven men — Deepak Khanna, Manoj Mittal, Amit Khanna, Krishan, Mithun, Ashutosh (owner of the car) and Ankush — have been arrested for the death of 20-year-old Anjali. Ashutosh and Ankush were arrested today for trying to help the other five men in a cover-up.
