Mahua Moitra: The TMC’s Fierce Warrior

Mahua Moitra is an Indian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Krishnanagar in the 17th Lok Sabha since 2019. She is a member of the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) party.

Moitra was born in 1974 in Kolkata, West Bengal. She studied economics at the University of Calcutta and then worked as an investment banker in New York City. In 2009, she returned to India and entered politics. She was elected to the West Bengal Legislative Assembly in 2011 and served as the Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare from 2011 to 2014.

In 2019, Moitra was elected to the Lok Sabha. She is a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance and the Parliamentary Standing Committee on External Affairs.

Moitra is known for her outspoken and controversial statements. In 2022, she was criticized for her comments about the Hindu goddess Kali. She has also been critical of the Indian government’s policies on a number of issues, including the Citizenship Amendment Act and the National Register of Citizens.

Moitra is a popular figure among TMC supporters. She is seen as a strong and independent voice who is not afraid to speak her mind. She is also a popular figure among women, who admire her for her confidence and empowerment.
