The Mizoram government has reassured citizens that the state has sufficient LPG supplies and no immediate shortage is expected. Officials made the announcement on Monday amid growing concerns over global supply disruptions.

The Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department stated that it is closely monitoring the LPG supply chain. This step aims to prevent any potential disruptions linked to ongoing tensions in West Asia.

According to official data, Mizoram currently holds a total of 39,988 domestic LPG cylinders. Out of this, distributors have 13,801 cylinders, while 26,187 cylinders are in transit to various locations across the state.

In addition, the state has 824 commercial LPG cylinders available. Among these, distributors hold 512 cylinders, and 312 are in transit. Therefore, authorities remain confident that these stocks will meet both household and commercial demand.

Furthermore, officials confirmed that LPG filling stations across Mizoram are well-stocked. As a result, they can handle daily consumption without any major disruption.

At the same time, the government urged residents to stay calm and avoid panic buying. Officials emphasized that unnecessary hoarding could create artificial shortages and disrupt the smooth distribution of essential supplies.
